The sector's importance in Guatemala:
Rubber is primarily grown on the country’s southern coast and is primarily exported to Mexico (37.8%), Chile (11.4%), the United States (10.5%), Brazil (10%), and Costa Rica (9.3 % ). Because of its high quality, it can be used to make tires, gloves, shoe soles, and balloons in the destination markets.
